Measurement Uncertainty 2 - ONLINE (ENO-MEA15H-2)

Description

Measurement Uncertainty in a Measurement Chain - ONLINE

Measurement Uncertainty in a Measurement Chain

Indispensable for all those who have to consider an entire measurement chain consisting of sensors for electrical and/or mechanical measured values and an electric amplifier: In this seminar you will learn how to combine individual measurement uncertainty contributions into an overall measurement uncertainty.

You already know how the measurement uncertainty of a single measurand is calculated according to GUM method B. You know the deviations found in the data sheet of a strain gauge based sensor and you already know how these contribute to the measurement uncertainty of a mechanical measurand. Then you will now learn about the deviations that you find in the data sheets of sensors for electrical measurands (e.g. current transformers) or of measuring amplifiers. You will also learn how to combine measurement uncertainties of measurands with different units within a measurement chain and how the measurement uncertainty of a calculated output variable (e.g. mechanical or electrical) power is calculated from the measurement uncertainties of its input variables (torque/ speed or current/ voltage). In a practical example, you first calculate the measurement uncertainty contributions of a voltage or current measurement chain within an electric power test bench component by component. Then you add up the individual measurement uncertainties to the uncertainty of the measured power. In this seminar, too, we set a high value on practical participation and to dialogue between participants and trainer. Our ONLINE courses are delivered in real-time with an instructor available to answer questions.
